Evangelical cartoonist Jack T. Chick has been spreading his version of the Gospel via small, black and white comic books since the 1970s, attracting fans and critics alike. Using puppets, pop music, animation, men in drag and a D.I.Y. John Waters-style, a group of filmmakers bring nine Chick tracts to life, putting their own cheeky spin on Chick’s spiritual vendettas against such “evils” as homosexuality and Halloween. Whether you’re a believer or an apostate, you’ll never look at Scriptural lessons the same way again.
