Legendary filmmaker Haskell Wexler has created a probing documentary about the dangerously long working hours in the film industry. Interviewing everyone from the biggest movie stars to below the line crew, he reveals an enduring grassroots movement dedicated to limiting Hollywood’s outrageous hours, something the unions have been slow to respond to. As Wexler investigates deeper and questions the policy makers and union leaders supposedly in charge, he uncovers layers of bureaucracy and seemingly deliberate negligence, but he also inspires hope that the status quo can–and has to–change.
