Shy Charlottesville, Virginia mechanic Carter spends his days fixing Volvos and Saabs, and his nights following a beautiful violinist back to her apartment and sitting outside her window listening to her practice. One evening, however, he notices the pretty waitress from the local diner following him. Starring Lukas Haas and January Jones as the cosmically matched voyeurs, tyro helmer Derek Sieg’s film is a delicately assured study of loneliness, unexpected love and the possibilities of escape embodied in a perfectly restored 1960s red Volvo coupe.
