In 1998, Pennsylvania launched a program in which victims or their family members could confront the perpetrators of the violent crimes against them. Survivors could obtain answers to questions that haunted them, while offenders could express themselves after years of reflection. Talking through their grief, pain and regrets, participants on both sides bravely expose themselves in a search for closure. This emotionally engrossing documentary captures three of these face-to-face sessions with reverent simplicity, leaving room for the raw power of redemption to speak for itself.
