In keeping with a longstanding family tradition, Marco has returned to his family’s beach house for Easter weekend. This year, however, he’s brought his new girlfriend Sofía, whose unorthodox beliefs and disruptive passions threaten the already tenuous fabric that binds the home. Chilean director Sebastián Campos’ disquieting family drama, which takes place over three days and was shot sequentially in the same amount of time, makes use of improvisational performances and intimate digital camerawork to form a tense examination of desire, obligation and family pride.
