WHAT IS THE LOS ANGELES FILM FESTIVAL?
The Los Angeles Film Festival, held annually for ten days in June, showcases the best of American and International cinema. With an attendance of more than 80,000, the festival screens upwards of 175 narrative features, documentaries, shorts, and music videos. Now in its 13th year, the festival has grown into a world-class event uniting new filmmakers with critics, scholars, film masters, and the movie-loving public.

WHO CAN ATTEND THE FESTIVAL?
The Festival attracts a huge spectrum of audiences from Los Angeles and around the world. This year, we anticipate more than 100,000 attendees.
HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS OR PASSES TO A SCREENING?
Festival passes for the 2007 Los Angeles Film Festival go on sale in May (with special discounts for Film Independent members). Tickets to individual screenings will be available for purchase beginning in early June. Passes and tickets can be purchased on this web site or over the phone at 866.FILM.FEST (345.6337). Walk-up sales of passes and tickets will begin at Festival venues in June.
HOW MANY FILMS PLAY IN THE FESTIVAL?
HOW MANY WERE SUBMITTED?
Approximately 90 features, 60 shorts, and 45 music videos make up the main body of the Festival. This year, Festival programmers will consider over 4,000 films.
HOW ARE FILMS SELECTED FOR THE FESTIVAL?
Films submitted to the Festival are reviewed by our programming department, which evaluates each film looking for the best in new American and International cinema.
WHAT ARE SOME FILMS THAT HAVE PLAYED IN PAST FESTIVALS?
Last year's films included Deliver Us From Evil, The Devil Wears Prada, An Inconvenient Truth, Little Miss Sunshine, Monster House, A Scanner Darkly, and This Film Is Not Yet Rated. In recent years, the Festival has also presented the World or American debuts of Down in the Valley, Fahrenheit 9/11, Mayor of the Sunset Strip, Kissing Jessica Stein, George Washington, and I Am Trying To Break Your Heart, among many others.
